Tried and true tips here.

Doing thorough due diligence separates contenders from pretenders. Know your sponsor well. Like, inside-out. He or she is your conduit to the club. Without a good sponsor you can get lost quickly in this business. Check out his Facebook, her twitter, blog, articles, etc.

Check for 2 things: knowledge of running a home based business, and a willingness to share this knowledge, to help others. Some smart sponsors are greedy, other kind sponsors need to acquire some more knowledge. Be picky. Err on the side of going with the kind sponsor, but remember, you want someone who knows how to help you grow your own business. In the same respect, once you trust your sponsor, go in with both feet. Make a 1000% commitment, because the folks who excel in MLM go in burning all bridges, all possible sources of retreat.

It is common for people in the MLM industry to start something and not see it through. It is sad but true. Many people get discouraged. Many questions come to mind.
