Entrepreneurship is a simple game if you practice it.
The word ‘Entrepreneur’ comes from the word ‘Entreprendre’, which is French for “to undertake” which basically means to pledge or commit oneself. And just like a sports player, you have to commit yourself in order for you to win the game, otherwise you’ll lose. When you yearn to become an entrepreneur or a ‘team player’ it is your responsibility to step up to the plate and do what it takes to win the game.
This means you have to practice, practice and practice…because practice makes perfect. Well, the same goes for your business. If you don’t practice how to become successful, or how to talk to people and build relationships, or how to use social media, or how to do use different tools that you need to grow your business, etc….then your probably not going to see any kind of results.
Picture yourself for a few moments as a tennis player (or ‘a network marketing entrepreneur’) and your on the court getting ready to play the game, yearning to win, refusing to let your opponent beat you. Your opponent tosses the tennis ball up in the air, swings the racket and hits the ball, and the ball comes flying towards you. And then all of a sudden you just stand there and do absolutely nothing. Do you think you will WIN?
Entrepreneurship is a simple game if you practice it. You don’t have to be the smartest person in the world, you don’t have to be a people person and you don’t have to know how to market yourself. WHO CARES? None of us started this industry like pros. You don’t wake up one day and say, ‘I want to be an Entrepreneur or a Successful Network Marketer and then POOF, it happens out of thin air. No, my friend! It does not work that way.
The same goes for a sports player. Sports players don’t wake up and then say, ‘I think I want to be a pro basketball player’ and they are instantly a pro athlete. They have to go out there and practice over and over again until they know how to play that game like a pro. And that is exactly what you have to do for your business. You have to go out there and do what it takes to become a pro.
So, the question today is… are you committed to growing your business? I sure hope so!
