Do You Have A Millionaire Mindset?
Having a millionaire mindset is a critical part of having a successful business. It’s another key factor that I’ve learned to master when working my various businesses.
Deciding that you want to be successful is a start, but it’s not the end. You have to come into your business with visions of the BIGGER picture. You have to envision what life would be like to be financially free to that you can have the freedom that you want. You must sincerely know in your heart that that it’s where you WILL be. But this will not happen if all you do is complain about your failures and mistakes that you’ve made along the way.
Understand that you will ALWAYS make mistakes. Understand that you need to cherish your mistakes that make and learn from them. By doing this, you actually begin to grow and prosper into the person that you want to be.
When I first started my internet business, my only intention was to make enough money so that I can pay off my car note for my brand new car. My mind was not set on making a full time income. But then when I made enough money to pay for my car note, my mind shifted and I started to think about making some more money to pay off my rent.
When I began to see the possibilities of paying all of my bills with my little internet business, my mind was set in a new direction and I no longer began to think small.
Donald Trump always says, “As long as you are going to be thinking, you might as well think BIG”.
And that is exactly what I started to do which lead me to actually quit my corporate job where I was making $75k a year as a New Accounts Officer for a Bank.
My mind was already in MY business. You have to change your mindset and start thinking BIG. PERIOD!
So, with that in mind, here is a short list of some questions that will help you to get your head in the right place:
1. Why do you want to be in business for yourself in the first place?
2. What do you really want that business to do for you? What’s the purpose?
3. What are you good at?
4. What do you do best?
5. What do you like to do?
6. What do you hate to do?
7. What have you done that you are most proud of?
8. What have you done that you are least proud of?
9. What are the most important things you’ve learned in life?
10. What are your biggest frustrations?
11. What are your greatest successes?
12. How would you describe your personal level of development and understanding of the world and in dealing with people?
13. How would you describe your level of satisfaction with your career success so far?
14. And my FINAL question is…. HOW THIRSTY ARE YOU???
Interview yourself with these questions to really get to understand the person that you are now vs. the person that you desire to be.
I would highly recommend that you read “Is Your Thinking Making You Rich or Poor” by Frank A. Trueblood, if you have not done so already.
